As a Welder/Fabricator, you’ll build and repair crane structures, booms and components. Your welds go into equipment that lifts heavy loads on job sites every day. You’ll work alongside crane technicians, mechanics and engineers, and your work will have a direct impact on safety and performance in the field.

What You’ll Do

  • Weld and fabricate crane structures, booms and structural components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical drawings
  • Use MIG, TIG and stick welding based on the job
  • Inspect and repair structural components to meet safety and industry standards
  • Run grinders, torches, cutting equipment and other shop tools
  • Keep welding equipment and tools maintained and running efficiently
  • Work with technicians, mechanics and engineers to diagnose issues and solve problems
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and OSHA guidelines
  • Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used and time on each job
What You Bring

  • 3+ years of welding experience, preferably in crane manufacturing, crane repair or heavy equipment
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG and stick welding
  • Experience in structural welding and metal fabrication
  • Solid blueprint and technical drawing reading skills
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, ANSI and AWS standards
  • Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to handle heavy materials and work at heights and in confined spaces
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical welding certification preferred; AWS certification is a plus
